Earlier this year I retired with a $3.2m portfolio spending $8000/month (3% withdrawal rate). I am 40 years old hence the conservative withdrawal rate.
Recently my portfolio has increased to $3.3m. Does this mean I can re-retire, effectively giving myself a raise to $8250/month? Should I do this every year that my portfolio goes up?
I think it is safe. The math shouldn't change whether I just retired or am re-retiring.
