Saw a Reddit post tonight and just verified that Fidelity now allows you to use any authenticator app. I was previously using VIP Access, but tonight was able to move to MS Authenticator (which is my primary authenticator app). When I enrolled it, I guess it automatically unenrolled VIP Access. I logged in from an unrecognized device and it took my code from MS Authenticator and never asked for my VIP Access code.
To change, click your profile button and then security settings. You'll see the option to enroll an authenticator.
