We are looking at a new pre-built gaming PC. Debating between getting a really good deal on current gen gear or waiting until next year. There are or will be very good deals in the coming weeks on Alienware, HP Omen, Lenovo Legion pre-builts and can possibly get top of the line models with Intel 14900k and RTX 4090, if the black friday / late in product lifecycle discounts are good. But I'm a bit skeptical with Intel issues and most higher end pre-builts don't offer AMD X3D, unless I do a custom at Microcenter, but the deals won't be as good.
Since I do not want Arrow Lake, and its likely the Alienwares, HP Omen, Lenovo Legion will stick to intel, the alternative is to wait to 2025 and get a custom prebuilt in Microcenter with AMD 9800X3D and RTX 5080 - will not be able to justify the 5090 at retail prices, since they do not get the discounts the major player prebuilts can offer with their sales.
