I just learned that there is a property tax credit in Wisconsin called the lottery and gaming credit. It applies to the property tax on a primary residence owned by a Wisconsin resident since at least January first of the tax year, but you have to apply to receive the credit (see the link). Applying is easy: Fill out an online form with basic information. The hardest part was the parcel ID number, but I managed to find that on my property tax bill, which is also available online at the county treasurer.
According to https://treasurer.danecounty.gov/Proper ... ery-credit, the credit ranged from $229 to $372 in Dane county, depending on school district.
