I've got an individual 401(k) that I set up fifteen years ago while I was doing consulting work outside my regular job. I'm now fully retired and wondering whether to combine the Ind. 401(k)'s assets with my IRA and close the account to simplify things. Both accounts are at Schwab and have the same allocation.
I was wondering if any of the tax savvy folks on the forum had thoughts about whether there was any advantage in keeping the 401(k) open? Thanks.
