Personal Consumer Issues • Dental implant failure

I'm in the process of getting a dental implant - had the surgery done about 5 months ago, and have known that something hasn't been right with it (it's not my first implant, so I know how it should or shouldn't feel). Have done three rounds of antibiotics as per the dentist's instructions. Went today for a CT scan to see what's what, and it shows that the implant is failing and that there is massive bone loss. The dentist wants to do another surgery where he does the bone grafting again and put me on another round of antibiotics. I scheduled the new bone grafting procedure, but now am second-guessing it. I'm still waiting for updted estimates as to how long this will take and how likely it will be to work, but I'm wondering if it wouldn't be cheaper/better to have him pull the implant out and put a bridge in. What would y'all do in this scenario? Try to continue with the implant or cut your losses and go with a bridge? I've never had a bridge and have no idea if they're obnoxious in any way. My other implants are absolutey wonderful and I cannot discern them from actual teeth. But I'm worried that continuing the implant will snowball into some hugely expensive procedure that may ultiimately fail again (i'm already $3k into it at this point). Any experiences or thoughts as to the best way to proceed? I can't seem to be able to math it out in my head in a way that makes me feel confident in making this choice. Any dentists here with a perspective on how cost effective it will be to choose one option vs the other, or if there's some reason spending more to pursue the implant would make me substantially happier? To be clear, not asking for medical advice, mostly just how you would approach it from a cost/benefit perspective.
