I'm currently a dermatology resident and will be graduating in 2 years. I'm contemplating opening my own practice. However, from dermatologists I've spoken with it seems that the time demands and stress levels associated with opening a new practice are high. I have a toddler and I'm worried that I won't have a good of a relationship with her given the time demands of a de novo practice. I would love the perspective of older, more experienced physicians. Do you think it would make more sense to open a new practice or join an existing practice? Thank you in advance for your help!
