This is a follow up from some questions I had earlier in the year and I wish to make sure I have made the correct assumption before the end of the year 2024.

Short version of events (all the below steps have been completed):
401k owner age 77 passed in 2024 while still working
Spouse age 80 elected to be treated as the original employee and the 401k was re-titled in the spouses name
Spouse rolled over the 401k to a new IRA at a new institution. The surviving spouse had no prior 401k or IRA.
I think the surviving spouse does not have to take an RMD in 2024, and in 2025 the Uniform Table for RMDs will be used for the RMD.
Is this the correct assumption and what age will be used to determine the RMD?
