Personal Investments • Did My Fidelity Rep Fire Me?

DW & I, both have accounts at Fidelity plus our joint brokerage. Together, we have a sizable amount of $$'s serviced by Fidelity. For many years, we have had a local office Fidelity Rep assigned to us. Every time we log in, we would see his smiling face in the upper right-hand corner with phone number for contact. Numerous quarterly contacts by this Rep and/or an associate from the team for a review of our holdings would result in my canned response of "No thanks, I am DIY and manage my own funds". One time an associate of the local team called, and I actually had a question about RMD's for Inherited IRA's. While the associate did not have an answer for me, they were able to conference in a dedicated Fidelity IRA Specialist who had a complete and accurate answer for me. Another time when visiting the local Fidelity office to deposit a large check from a property sale, my assigned Rep came out from back to meet face-to-face and provided me insight that using the Fidelity Money Market Fund Premium Class (FZDXX) would provide me good returns. I was appreciative to the recommendation. I have also received the TurboTax free each year of this relationship, so perhaps the Rep was responsible for this action. Overall, the two times I needed help the Local Fidelty Rep's were somewhat helpful. Additionally, for the past 3-4 years the Fidelity Rep has hosted a Saturday morning new release movie showing in November at a local high-end theater for clients. We would attend, shake hands with the Fidelity Team, eat some popcorn and watch a good movie at no cost. It occurred to me this AM, that I had not received an invite for the November movie this year and it got me thinking. I have not heard from this Rep or an associate since maybe this past spring. I logged into both DW's and my accounts and noticed the Rep's smiling face was no longer there on our summary page. No assigned rep or anything similar. Huh! :o

Question to the forum - Have other's had similar removal of an assigned Fidelity Rep? Is this due to a Fidelity change in direction or something more associated to us individually? While it's not all that disappointing to me as the amount calls has now gone to zero, I will miss the free movie and maybe the annual free TurboTax. I realize that our accounts where non-money makers for Fidelity, but this seems odd. :confused

Edit - Yes, the assigned Rep is still employed by the local Fidelity Office with same title and contact info as currently viewed on the Fidelity site for "Find an Advisor".
