I am either reading it wrong, or there’s something weird about the transition from ACA insurance to Medicare.
Specifically, I’m 2 years older than my wife.
When I look at CoveredCA for our subsidized ACA rates, they… are exactly the same, whether one adult is covered, or two adults. Is that accurate?
If this is how it works, do we effectively double pay (Medicare parts B, C, D for me, ACA for her) for the ~18 months I’m required to have signed up for Medicare and she’s not?
Or am I misreading something?
