I had shares of the Schwab Value Advantage Moneymarket fund SVWXX In a traditional IRA on December 9. I sold the shares to complete a reverse rollover of the pre-tax amount into my current employer 401k plan and converted the after-tax amount into a Roth IRA. Schwab does not pay the partial dividend for December on the sale date (which is what Vangaurd does for money market shares), but pays the dividend on last business day of the month (Dec 31). As of 2pm the dividend has not shown up. I would like to end with a balance of $0 in the pre-tax Tradtional IRA to avoid pro-rata calculations. Any idea what time of day the dividend is paid and if I will be able to convert the payment to the Roth IRA before the market close?
