I (a non-eligible designated beneficiary) inherited a Fidelity traditional IRA and a Fidelity Roth IRA from a parent in 2022. The parent's RMD was completed before death in 2022. I did not take any RMDs in 2023-2024 (waived by IRS).
I am unclear whether I need to take annual RMDs in 2025+ for the inherited Roth IRA. I thought an annual RMD was not required, just empty the account by the end of the 10th year (by 12/31/2032). Fidelity's "retirement distribution center is showing a RMD is required for 2025 and calculates the 2025 RMD dollar amount. Vanguard's online RMD calculator shows no 2025 annual RMD is required, just empty by the end of the 10th year.
Any feedback on whether I do or do not need to take annual RMDs from this inherited Roth IRA? Thank you!
