My mom decided to sign up for an ID.me account as she had not received her pin # yet. All went well, but she had a follow up question.
During the process of sign up she gave her cell number and she received a code as a part of the process, but when they went to verify her she couldn't be verified and was asked if she had another phone number and she gave her landline. The landline was verified and the ID.me process went smoothly. However, she now gets notifications if she or anyone accesses the account via verbally on her landline. She would like to eliminate the landline, but she only has a prepaid cell phone which we think was the issue in verifying her in the first place. If she ports the landline to a pre-paid cell phone is that good enough to received ID.me texts/voice mails or does she need a non-prepaid cell phone plan?
