Hello all,
Some time ago, with the great advice and help from Stinky and other knowledgeable bogleheads, I did an exchange from an expensive tax deferred annuity into the Fidelity Personal Retirement Annuity. Convinced DW to retire and moved to part-time recently. I am probably just months from early retirement (age 58) so my plan is to slowly withdraw from this annuity during some lower-income years. I will have to juggle income for ACA subsidy requirements so taxable will be first preference.
For now, I picked the lowest-fee fixed-income fund I could find as a choice - Fidelity VIP Bond Index. There is a 0.25% additional fee for any fund unfortunately. Overall portfolio allocation can be managed using other tax-deferred IRAs and taxable accounts.
I was doing my six-monthly asset allocation review and wanted to check my thinking on this.
Can you folks please review the choices in FPRA and see if this is the best pick? Should I consider anything else? Thank you all so much in advance.
