Hello, my wife received a fraudulent email from Xfinity saying our account was suspended on the same day that our auto-pay didn't go through because I had to close my credit card down due to some fraudulent charges from Afterpay. Thinking it was real, we clicked on the link and entered her credit card info but my personal info because the account is in my name. I'm going to take the following steps:
1. My wife has put a lock on her credit card.
2. We are both checking our credit scores and credit reports.
3. We are both putting credit freezes on our accounts with all 3 major credit agencies.
I'm wondering if we may have dodged a bullet by using her credit card and my personal info, but am fearing the worst.
Does anyone know of anything else we should do or be looking out for in the meantime? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
