This morning I received an an email from Mapfre insurance with subject "MAPFRE Insurance Issued a Digital Payment". It's for the recent polity cancelation of $642.26. There are 4 options to receive the payment on their website. I choose PayPal. However on the PayPal side, it triggered a payout and 1099-k. The Mapfre insurance coded as payment of goods and services instead of refund. So the refund becomes income. Very frustrating. I called PayPal. The rep said to ask Mapfre to reverse the payment. I called Mapfre. The rep intend to instruct me to contact the 3rd party payment company at first. Eventually the rep said she will let us know by Friday. Anyone has similar problem? What else should I do to resolve this? Thanks.
