Ever since photography started becoming digital, I've struggled to develop (sorry!) a good workflow for storing and organizing our snapshots. I have digital photos all over my camera's SD card, my phone, and my computer. I long for the good old days, when we took film photos, mailed the film off to Mystic Color Labs, and received photos and negatives back. We put the photos in albums. It worked.
It was also nice to sit down sometimes and page through the memories. Digital images on a screen just don't have the same meaning for me. And I look back at them less often.
So I bought a used, basic, point-and-shoot 35 mm film camera, same model we had decades ago when the kids were young. Maybe there's an element of nostalgia at play here too.
Does anyone have a recommendation for a mail-order film developing and printing business? I've tried New Jersey Film Lab and ABC Photo Lab (the reincarnation of Mystic Color Labs), and I'm not sure I'm fully happy with either. Looking for other options.
Thanks.
