Going into retirement a year ago at age 69, we had our allocation via an advisor as 50% passive equity funds; 30% short term treasuries and Total Bond Index and 20% cash.
We have found we will need to withdraw 2-3% of our 4 million dollar portfolio a year. Due to some unexpected investment returns, our allocation has grown to 58% equity; 30% bonds; 12% cash.
Given the small percent we will withdraw annually, should we raise the stock allocation to 55% or 60%? Or should we rebalance back to 50%.
