Has anyone dealt with fixing scratches in a stained wood stair railing?
I have cat scratches in my stair railing from where my formerly kittens liked to do their catwalk. Of course, they lost their balance a few times and the claws came out. Now, my cats are all grown up and no longer attempt to jump onto the handrail. So, I’m ready to fix it or have it fixed. The scratches are in the varnish (not into the wood) and the varnish is also the stain color. For example, on one banister my kids hands rubbed off the varnish and in that spot the natural wood color shows instead of the stained wood color.
I have a few pics of the scratches for reference, but will need to figure out how to post them.
