Personal Finance (Not Investing) • Question about HSA (Health Savings Account)

I and my friend were in a clinic and we had to pay cash or debit card to get a discount. So we both received services

I forgot my debit card so my friend paid for my expense also which was like $250 with her HSA card.

Later when we come home, I searched google and found out that we should not do that

Can we go back to the clinic and have them refund the $250 back to the card so that I can pay it with my own debit card?

Would this action trigger tax or other issues?
