6/2024 Kiplinger Personal Finance recommended Vanguard Federal Money Market Fund (VMFXX) for money I'm waiting to deploy.
I'm thinking of moving my Sallie Mae Money Market to VMFXX, because Sallie Mae's Annual Percentage Yield (APY) is 4.6%, whereas VMFXX's 7 day SEC yield 5.27%. In addition, I'd have one less statement/company to deal with. I think they're both taxed as ordinary income, and I can direct deposit my paycheck to VMFXX.
What do you think?
Thanks!
