Personal Consumer Issues • TV advice for kids' playroom

I'm not sure what tv to get for kids' playroom, and my overthinking/research is driving me crazy, especially since this is likely going to be a few hundred dollars (maybe a bit more), vs. researching for a 'main' tv where I'll spend $2k-$3k...

In any case, we're looking for a 48" to 55" tv (not exactly sure if we can fit 55" based on location), and it just needs to be decent, not the best by any means. There's really no gaming going on in this particular room, mostly just watching netflix, disney+, youtube, youtube tv... all on an apple tv.

Originally I was looking into the cheapest with good reviews, something for a few hundred like these as an example: https://www.bestbuy.com/site/compare?sk ... 40,6543648

but then my research lead me to believe that I should perhaps at least consider 120Hz vs 60Hz (see big link down below). If you agree that 120 is a vast improvement over 60, is the TCL - 55" Class Q7 , 55Q750G, for $500 good? Will I see a vast improvement in this vs. a $300 60Hz tv?

Further, will I see a vast improvement over the $500 TCL if I go up to a $700 or $750 tv (maybe the LG - 48" Class B4 for $750, even though it's much smaller, that's probably ok for us anyway)?

Or, if I'm not planning to spend $1k plus, should I just stick with a $300 to $400 tv (https://www.bestbuy.com/site/compare?sk ... 40,6543648), and not even bother with anything in between?

In short, for a kids' playroom, is there any vast difference between $300, $500 and $750, or no real difference until you get to $1k plus? Should either just spend $300-$400 (and figure anything with good reviews is fine), or go up to $1k, and not bother with anything in between?

Finally, one other factor is that I'd like it to be as thin as possible, so I was leaning towards perhaps an LG ThinQ or one of these: https://www.bestbuy.com/site/compare?sk ... 07,6535925 as they seem to be much thinner (especially the LGs at under 2") vs. other models that can be 3" or more, but if I'm majorly sacrificing quality by getting something so thin (at a cheap price), we can nix this factor.

Thanks for any thoughts and helping me get over my overthinking/researching!
