I am staring at the Modified Adjusted Gross Income worksheet for Roth IRA Purposes (Worksheet 2.1) and a few things jump out at me that I want to doublecheck my understanding on. Please check and comment on my understanding on these items because I feel like I might be missing something.
- Tax deferred 401k contributions are not included in AGI and are not added back in for Roth MAGI
- Traditional IRA contributions are added to AGI when calculating Roth MAGI (Lines 4 & 9)
- Income from Roth IRA conversion is subtracted from AGI when calculating Roth MAGI (Lines 2 & 3)
