Hello,
I'm (finally!) ready to transfer a horrible managed account from Merril to Schwab. The managed Merril account has ~40 ETFs (since everyone knows that investing must be super complicated, but I digress). For each ETF, I can click on a long sequence of buttons to eventually find a history of the purchases, in order to understand what layers were purchased and at what price. I can also export all the ETFs into a CSV file with some click of a button, but it just exports the current price and amount for each ETF (not the layer information per ETF). I'm planning on transferring the ETFs without selling, and (if it's relevant), due to account ownerships, I need to initiate a push from Merril to Schwab.
My questions are:
1. When the ETFs will be transferred to Schwab, will I be able to see there what are the layers of each ETF?
2. If not, is there some electronic way to export all layers from Merril?
I appreciate the answers. Due to the unpleasantness of the situation, am planning on just making a brief interaction requesting to transfer the ETFs, and would rather not start asking for this information.
