Personal Investments • 100% in s&p 500 index in your 40s

I have most of my retirement savings in an s&p 500 index fund. I am considering transferring a few individual stocks into s&p. Is 100 % in s&p a good way to go? I feel this is the best return for a fairly safe investment. I know no investment is completely safe. My reasoning for wanting to be 100% s&p is that I’m 49 with only 250k in retirement savings. So I’d like to get the highest return possible and get that in the neighborhood of 1 mil in 10 years.I believe Warren B recommends 90% in s&p index and 10% bonds. Is anyone else 100% in on s&p 500?
