Hello Everyone (moderators this is not for medical advice just seeing how common extra appointments are).
Our family is finding that our Drs are creating extra appointments that may not be necessary. I am just curious if others are finding this a common practice as well? Here are few examples :
1. General Practitioner insists on checking in a few times a year just to see how things are going without any new tests or health changes.
2. Specialists will not write 2 recurring prescriptions at the same appointment. They insist you setup a very brief second appointment the next day to pick-up an additional prescription.
3. Meet and Greet appointments a few weeks before a common procedure like a colonoscopy. Some Drs want to have an appointment ahead of time while other Drs will do it without this extra pre-appointment.
