I have been using a Kobalt corded mower for several years now, but I am very tired of hauling the cables around me and one of these days I am going to run over the cable and cut it. Also, we just bought new house on a 11000 sqft lot, so I am going to be mowing quite a lot of grass.
It would be nice to get an electric lawnmower. I have narrowed down to these two:
- Ego 56 Volt LM2125 SP 7.5 Ah (https://www.lowes.com/pd/EGO-POWER-Touc ... 5013742997)
- Ego 56 Volt LM2114 SP 6 Ah (https://www.lowes.com/pd/EGO-POWER-56-v ... 5013742993)
Presumably the only difference between them is the battery ampere hours. The difference is only 1.5 Ah, yet the pricing does not make any sense. The 6Ah battery costs as much as the mower (which comes with a battery and charger), and the 7Ah battery is $400. So my questions are:
1. Do you have this mower and are you happy with it and the battery?
2. How long does the battery last and are the different amp hour batteries interchangeable? Can I put a 2.5 Ah battery in 7.5 rated mower? I know it will run out faster, but at least it won't break the bank. The way batteries are being priced, it's clear that the manufacturer does not want you to buy them.
I would appreciate any feedback. Thanks.
