My night vision has gotten somewhat problematic recently, largely due to all the glare from the growing number of increasing number of extremely superbright headlights.
I know the standard advice is to look to the right side of the road away from oncoming headlights but that seems like potentially dangerous advice for driving in a city where pedestrians darting across the road in dark clothing could emerge unexpectedly from virtually any direction.
I have mostly given up on driving after dark, and just take the bus and/or walk if I possibly can but that is a real hardship in the bitter cold upstate NY winter weather, with bus service that runs once an hour and rarely on schedule.
A mechanic I generally trust suggested I could get LasFit lights to help illuminate what's in front of me, but isn't that just creating more problems for other drivers? Any other suggestions welcome.
