Just finished watching a YouTube called Should cash replace bonds and Stock versus bond allocation by age.
What are your thoughts about Bill Bernstein's statement if you "won the game stop playing"? If you use Bill's thinking, would you build a allocation based on short term bond funds the that you need for the rest of your life?
For example:
If you are 80 years old and plan to live to 100 and need $50,000 year to live on plus Social security would you hold $1,000,000 in short term bond funds and the rest of your money in stock mutual funds. So if you have 2 million dollars you would put 50% in equities.
Is my thinking off base? Thanks
