Personal Consumer Issues • PSA - Disable Firefox's 'Privacy-Preserving Ad Measurement' Before Upgrading to v. 128

Peop'e who use Firefox for privacy and to minimize advertising interests in their browser, may not want to have this new feature, called 'Privacy-Preserving Ad Measurement' enabled. The feature is reportedly opt-out (it should be opt-in) but not everyone bothers to look at their settings during an upgrade. In fact, some people would likely want to disable the feature before upgrading.

Don't ask me on a scale of 1-10 where this fits in in terms of privacy incursions. I really don't care. I just automatically avoid anything that taints my browsing experience with corporate/advertising interests.

Plus, I don't like it when developers pretend to know what's good for us by making questionable features opt-out.

Mozilla continues to disappont, but Firefox is still one of the best browsers in terms of privacy.
